Is This Car A Good Deal?

Compare a listing's asking price against the maths.

Quick answer: A used-car price has two components — the COE time remaining (valued against the prevailing COE premium) and the car itself (valued against market for the model/mileage/condition). The calculator below splits the asking into those two, then flags whether either component is materially above or below the typical band.

A quick sanity check before you commit. Enter the asking price, the COE remaining, and a few condition notes. We compare it against depreciation benchmarks and tell you whether the deal sits in the normal, cheap, or expensive band.

How we assess a listing

A used-car price has roughly two components: the value of the car itself (mechanical condition, mileage, accident history, spec) and the value of the COE time remaining.

We split the asking price into those two components, then compare each against prevailing benchmarks. If the COE component is in line with the prevailing premium and the car component is reasonable for the model and mileage, the deal sits in the normal band. If either component is significantly above or below, we flag it.
